Roles Within Epicor

Epicor Consultants

Epicor talent who typically work in one of two forms. The first being in a freelance environment where IT Works place the consultants on contracting basis. Their skillset can provide a technical toolkit within Epicor or the functionality of Epicor across the different modules i.e Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Finance etc. The second environment you will find a Consultant is working permanently for an Epicor Gold Partner, these consultants are paid a salary and the partner will charge a premium day rate for these individuals. The common theme throughout both routes is that they have both worked in a Project based environment, had experience of greenfield implementations, migrations, upgrades etc. and have experience across a number of different customers.

Epicor Technical Consultants

These are the most prolific Consultant within the Epicor market. Consultants of this level have experience of the toolkit and often have a Developers skillset, they can do everything from reporting (SSRS/ Crystal) to customisations in 4GL or C# and are able to write BAQs, BPMs, Dashboards etc.

Epicor Analyst

These individuals work on a permanent basis within an end user, this skillset is as follows:

£35,000-45,000

  • Application knowledge in one Epicor customer
  • BAQs
  • BPMs
  • Dashboards
  • Report writing (Crystal / SSRS)

 

Epicor Specialist

These individuals work on a permanent basis within an end user, this skillset is as follows:

£45,000-£55,000

  • Application knowledge in more than one customer
  • The above skillset
  • Basic customisations in C#
  • DMT experience
  • Functional knowledge across manufacturing and other modules (not typically finance)
  • Worked in a project environment (Upgrade/ Migration/ Implementation – E9>10 or 10.1>10.2)

Epicor Developer

These individuals work on a permanent basis within an end user, this skillset is as follows:

£55,000-£60,000

  • The above skillset
  • In depth knowledge of C#
  • In depth knowledge across most modules (not typically finance)
  • Certified in Epicor Development
  • Worked in a consulting environment (with a partner or the vendor)

 

Systems Manager

These individuals work on a permanent basis within an end user, this skillset can vary and the Systems which they can manage can vary. They either, manage all areas of IT and Systems and has more of a leadership role where their direct reports are hands on with the systems or they can be more of a systems owner, where they will analyse, administer and develop the system in house themselves.
