Our client’s core business is providing Maximo, best in class Enterprise Asset Management software from IBM, as a cloud Software as a Service (SaaS) solution. We are seeking an exceptional candidate to join our Tech Team. This position is for an experienced Maximo professional that has the both technical and support experience. The primary responsibility of the Maximo Technical Account Manager is to ensure an outstanding level of customer service by leveraging technical, business, and people skills to achieve project success for Maximo Cloud Customers and Partners.

 

Job Description:

  • Work as functional and technical subject matter experts in Maximo, its add-ons and partner solutions
  • Primary point of contact during project implementation and post go-live support for internal teams, partners, and customers
  • Evaluate customer requirements and driving the customer to solutions that can be supported in client’s cloud
  • Develop targeted solutions using the Maximo configuration and customization tools, to enhance the customer's use of Maximo as a value-added service
  • Develop and maintain a deep knowledge of best practice and capabilities
  • Represent and advocate for client’s interests in meetings with customer and partners throughout project implementations and support
  • Represent and advocate for the partner’s and customer’s interests within client environment
  • Lead projects to ensure that the project finds success for the partner and customer while still being supportable long term in the cloud
  • Build and maintain relationships with Client’s technical team, business development team and partner teams to deliver solutions in the cloud
  • Drive process development and implementation enabling partner success and growth without bureaucracy
  • Review and monitor all partner and customer requests to ensure requirements are delivered with a high quality of service
  • Review and understand the technical implications of changes to the customer’s system

 

What you need to bring to the job:

  • Excellent customer service skills and a positive attitude are a must as this is a client/partner facing role
  • Must be well spoken, detailed-oriented, dependable, and flexible
  • Proven troubleshooting and problem-solving skills in current and previous Maximo versions
  • Working to advanced knowledge of SQL query writing, fundamental database administration of MS SQL, Oracle, or DB2 a plus
  • Working to advanced knowledge of networking fundamentals / concepts
  • 5+ years of experience facilitating solution between business and technical teams

 

Education Requirements

  • Associate degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or Information Technology
  • Bachelor’s degree is preferred
  • Certification in the administration of the IBM Maximo Asset Management product is preferred
  • If not currently certified, certification must be obtained within the first year of employment

  • Ability to prioritize daily tasks in a highly effective manner
  • Demonstrated attention to detail and systematic approach to task performance
  • Ability to work with varying seniority levels, including staff, managers, and external partners
  • Strong interpersonal and organizational skills

 

Hours and Environment:

Typically, this salaried position requires 40 hours per week M-F 8am-5pm. However, more than 40 hours in a work week may be required for specific deadlines. On call rotation consists of 1-2 weeks per month; emergencies are not frequent. Three weeks of vacation is earned the first full calendar year of employment. Our client matches up to 3% into an employee retirement fund and provides a share of company profit plan.
